There are two types of cells, prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells. Prokaryotic cells are cells which do not have a proper nucleus. Bacteria are prokaryotes. Eukaryotic cells are cells which do have a nucleus, surrounded by a nuclear membrane. All plants, animals, fungi and protists have eukaryotic cells. There are many other differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. Prokaryotic cells do not have a nuclear membrane.
The type of cell that doesn't have a membrane surrounding their nuclear material is called a prokaryotic cell. Prokaryotes, which include bacteria and archaea, have a simpler cellular structure without a true nucleus; instead, their genetic material is located in a region called the nucleoid. This lack of a nuclear membrane distinguishes them from eukaryotic cells, which do have a defined nucleus encased in a membrane.
cell membrane is a part of the cell (organelle) not a cell
Proteins are often found embedded in the cell membrane. These proteins are called transmembrane or inter-membrane proteins.Cholesterol molecules are also found embedded in the hydrophobic interior of the cell membrane in many species
Virtually all cells contain a cell membrane, including plants and animals.

it is found in on the outer layer of the cell
These are the two categories of cells . A prokaryote is a type of cell without a nuclear envelop and some other cell organelle with out a membrane as in case of bacterial cell. A eukaryote cell has cell organelles enclosed in the cell membrane and has nuclear envelop.

Channel proteins are a type of protein found in the cell membrane that regulate the passage of specific ions or molecules into or out of the cell. These proteins form channels or pores that allow substances to pass through the membrane, controlling the movement of substances across the cell membrane.

Yes, cholesterol is a type of lipid that is found in cell membranes.
