Scientists keep finding life in the most unlikely places. It exists in boiling water. It exists in ice. It exists in extremely hot rocks far beneath the earth.

However, it probably all started in water. The only other compound where scientists think life could have started is ammonia.

The first cells would have taken in substances from the area around them. A few would have discovered photosynthesis. These are cyanobacteria. They create their own food. After the first group ran out of food, they remained.

The type of life most likely to exist in a planet with water is likely to be something like cyanobacteria.

The scientists who think life might exist in an ammonia system have not described that type of life!

What would our solar system be like if a super earth that was habitable Home 2 complex life Similar 2 our Earth took our Earths place and Earth took our Moons place?

If a super-Earth with habitable conditions took Earth's place, it would likely have a stronger gravitational pull, different climate patterns, and potentially different ecosystems. Earth taking our Moon's place would lead to changes in tides and light patterns, which could impact biodiversity and ecosystems on Earth.

What would happen if green house hases did not surrond the earth?

If greenhouse gases did not surround Earth, the temperature on Earth would be significantly colder, making it inhospitable for most forms of life. Greenhouse gases trap heat in the atmosphere, helping to maintain a livable temperature range. Without them, Earth would resemble a frozen wasteland.

What is a scientist called that studies life on other planets?

An astrobiologist studies the potential for life beyond Earth, including on other planets or moons within our solar system or beyond. They investigate how life might originate, evolve, and survive in extraterrestrial environments.

What is life beyond life?

Whether life exists beyond our solar system is not currently known to science. However, given the many billions of stars in the known universe it is possible - some would even say probable - that life has evolved in other places. We have indirectly detected planets around other stars. When we are able to observe them directly and analyse their atmospheres, that will give us a better idea. If life - or signs that it once existed - is discovered on other bodies in our own solar system (Europa and Mars are considered likely candidates) that would prove that life can exist anywhere conditions are favourable, and would make the probability of trans-stellar life almost certain.

What is life called on other planets?

So far no other life have been discovered beyond Earth but the generic term for such lifeforms would be 'aliens'.

Which planet is the most likely to have life on it?

Mars and Europa, a moon of Jupiter, are considered the most likely candidates for potential life beyond Earth. Both have shown evidence of liquid water in the past or present, which is a key ingredient for life as we know it. Scientists continue to explore these and other celestial bodies in the search for extraterrestrial life.

How likely is other intelligent life in your galaxy?

Since there is no evidence of intelligent life beyond Earth an accurate answer does not exist. However seeing as intelligent life is possible, I can narrow the likelyhood of intelligent life in our galaxy to be between 0 and 100%.

Where is life most likely apart from Earth?

Mars is most likely to have life.

Which branch of science deals with life beyond the earth?

Astrobiology is the branch of science that deals with the study of life beyond Earth, including the search for habitable environments in our solar system and the potential for life on other planets.

Would life on Earth still remain the same with different gravity?

Life on Earth has evolved to cope with the environment of earth. If the gravity were different it is very likely that life would look very different. It is likely that if the gravity differed by a large amount then life would not have evolved at all. Too heavy and Earth would have enormous amounts of hydrogen and would be a small gas giant. Too little and the earth could not keep hold of much of its atmosphere. As a result we would have far less CO2 and the surface would be much colder. Also we would loose our precious ozone layer and the surface would be bathed in solar radiation.

If the Sun were to stop showering the Earth with sunlight what would be the likely outcome?

For a start, it would become dark. In the long term, no life would survive on Earth without sunlight.

What scientist would most likely study earth's past biosphere?

A paleontologist or a paleoecologist would most likely study Earth's past biosphere, focusing on the study of ancient life forms and ecosystems through the analysis of fossils and sedimentary records.

Why is it important for humans to explore other planets beside earth?

It is important in case there is life beyond Earth.

What if the sun got closer to the earth?

Basically we would fry. Earth is in the perfect orbital position so that it does not freeze or become to hot for life to exist. This also explains why life on other planets is not likely.

Where are you most likely to find life in space?

Earth.
