Three main structures form by convergent boundaries. There are three types of convergent boundaries, oceanic-oceanic, oceanic-continental, and continental- continental. Oceanic to oceanic boundaries form volcanic islands, because the two plates come together, one crust goes under, the other forms a mountain, and the lava from the crust that went under the other one goes through the mountain, making it a volcano.

Oceanic- continental convergent boundaries form volcanoes, the continental crust form the mountain, the oceanice goes under and makes the lava that goes up through the mountain and makes a volcano.

continental to continental boundaries form mountains. since both crusts are of the same density, they both shoot up and form a mountain.
