You will need to use a step down transformer. If an amperage or wattage of the crock pot had been stated, the transformer could have been sized as to what you need. Because the crock pot is a resistive only device the difference in HZ is negligible.

Is it possible to make gold from iron?

The secret of transmutation of metals was either possessed by alchemists at one time and is now lost, or has always been a complete crock. Gold is an element, and therefore cannot be made in the usual sense. Gold is mined, or found. Unless you happen to live in a mine, this is not happening at home. In other words, no.

Are quartz counter tops heat resistant?

Cambria countertops are natural quartz and like any natural stone, it can be damaged by sudden and/or rapid change of temperature. Direct heat transfers from pots & pans, electric frying pans, griddles, crock-pots, roaster ovens, heat lamps can cause damage. The use of a hot pad or trivet is always recommended to prevent heating of the product.

What are the high and low setting on Hamilton Beach Crock Watcher?

The answer is....(drumroll, please), 1= Low, 2= High. I have been looking for this answer for awhile because I too lost the instruction book that came with the slow cooker. I did an experiment. Stew and a meat thermometer, and the results were obvious! Now as to how long the auto-shift stays on high before it shifts to low, I am not sure. MB in Nova Scotia Yes, MB is correct - I went to the proctor silex website and found the user manual. Here's a link to it: http://useandcares.hamiltonbeach.com/files/840036400.pdf KM in Mass The user manual says that Auto Shift starts cooking on high and finishes on low and that cooking times will be approximately halfway in between high and low cooking times. It doesn't say after how much time it switches. Some of the recipes in the manual give times to cook with Auto Shift.
