According to the believes of physics and the big bang, we know that the big bang was both big and a bang. Since we are still receiving radiation from the big bang, So considering that factor I would say that it was big and a bang. What do you believe?
There are two questions commonly asked:1. Is it real, or did God create the universe ex nihilo?2. Did the Big Bang create more than one universe?3. How can the big bang account for dark matter and dark energy?
Big Bang theorist believe
The Latin term for "big bang" is "motus primordialis" which translates to "primeval motion" or "big bang".
Everything that ever happened - or at least, everything we know of - happened after the Big Bang, and was, in a way, affected by the Big Bang.
The current understanding of the so-called "Big Bang" event suggests that there was no'outside' to it, since all of space itself was created in the event and expanded after it.

Big Bang - Big Bang album - was created on 2009-08-19.
in big bang theory the particles will just move away outside. while in big bounce, a stage will come when all the particles once again will form singularity as the result of big crunch. that's what i think.
The Best of Big Bang
How did it what? - It isn't known what caused the Big Bang, if that's what you mean.
hi i am minakshi and the answer is that when examining the red shifts of galaxies outside our own galaxies to be moving away the observer this observation supports the big bang theory because indicates that every matter of the universe was consentrated at one place and after big bang the universe is expanding.
The big bang created itself.
big bang: This is the big bang theory
Some questions about the Big Bang theory and its implications for the origin of the universe include: What caused the Big Bang? How did the universe evolve after the Big Bang? What evidence supports the Big Bang theory? What are the implications of the Big Bang for our understanding of the universe's beginning and future?

We don't know what it's like outside the universe because the big bang caused the expansion of mass, so were pretty sure nothing happens outside the universe.
