Thrust SSC was the first car to break the sound barrier.
Thrust SSC is a British designed jet propelled car developed by Richard Noble, Glynne Bowsher, Ron Ayers and Jeremy Bliss.
Thrust SSC broke the land speed record on 15th October 1997 piloted by RAF Squadron Leader Andy Green and traveled at 1228km/h, a record which still stands today.
Yes, the Thrust SSC broke the sound barrier on October 15, 1997, becoming the first car to officially achieve this feat. It reached a speed of 763 mph, surpassing the speed of sound (approximately 767 mph at sea level).
As a car speeds up, the engine works harder to propel the vehicle, generating more exhaust and engine noise. This can result in the sound of the car becoming louder as the speed increases. Additionally, air turbulence around the moving vehicle can also contribute to increased noise levels.
Light travels the fastest of the four options provided, followed by an airplane, then a car, and finally sound. The speed of light in a vacuum is approximately 186,282 miles per second, while sound travels at around 767 miles per hour in the air. Airplanes can reach speeds of over 600 miles per hour, and cars typically have lower speeds depending on their model and conditions.
The Basic difference between the sound waves and light is in their wave nature. Light waves are propagated as transverse waves. Sound waves are propagated as longitudinal waves. Let's do our own version of Einstein's famous thought experiments. You are on a train that has a very looong connected flatbed. I'm observing you from the ground. The train is moving at 60 mph to my right; you are in a car and driving from the front of the train toward the back, and you read 40 mph on your speedometer. As the amazing sight passes by, I measure your speed to be 20 mph, moving to my right-- from my frame of reference, your back-end is advancing. This is an entertaining if impractical way of seeing how two velocities differ. Sixty minus forty equals twenty. Now we are together on the ground. A train is going to pass us at the speed of sound (ok, we could make it an SST and pretend we're on a REALITY show). As it passes, our job is to measure the velocity of light coming toward us from a powerful source on its back. We are, in theory, slowing light down by the speed of sound. When we measure the velocity of the light, however, we will find that it is still exactly the speed of light, undiminished. If we forgot our protective gear, however, our ears will not be unchanged.
Speed: Wind (which is created by the earth's rotation) is the air being pushed by the earth's movement. Air, just like any solid, liquid, or gas, will have a velocity when in motion. that velocity will go against any velocity moving in the opposite direction. for example, if you're running in track, and you feel the wind pushing towards you, that's your velocity against the winds (usually the wind wins, or at least increases your time). Sound: Sound waves rely on molecules to move. that's why sound is impossible in space. a star can explode and nobody hears it. When, say, a police car rushes pass you with sirens, it pushes with it the air molecules into that > shape. picture this diagram. [=] >. The [=] is the car, the > is the molcules being pushed by the car, and you're the . the air molecules move towards you in that shape, and when the end of the > touches you, you finally hear the sirens. if the car is driving into wind, the wind pushes the air back <--- that way, so again, it's velocity against velocity. so if again we go back to that diagram, and the air is pushing in the opposite direction of the car, you'll hear the sirens later. sorry if my answers dont make sense.

Yes, the Blue Bird car broke the world land speed record in 1964 by surpassing the speed of sound, reaching a speed of 763 miles per hour. The achievement was made by driver Donald Campbell at Lake Eyre in Australia.
The fastest car is the Thrust SSC (Supersonic Car) which broke the sound barrier at 763 mph.
Probably a worn or loose belt
your transmition is either about to break or broke.
The UK made the thrust SSC which goes faster than the speed of sound and thus the bugatti veyron.
y do u car
Lexus LFA
I don't believe anyone has broken the sound barrier on land yet.
