The Antarctic ice could not conceivably melt entirely within the next few thousand years, because it is so large. In fact, only the small Antarctic Peninsula, to the south of South America, seems to have been noticeably affected by recent global warming.

The arctic sea ice is melting, but melting sea ice does not really affect sea levels. The worst that could happen here is the extinction of the polar bear, and perhaps changing weather conditions in some parts of the northern hemisphere. Since sea ice is reflective, it has a cooling effect, so the loss of sea ice can also contribute to global warming.

As the ice shelves and glaciers of the arctic region melt, sea levels will rise, as they have already begun to do.

What will happen if 120 volt appliance is plugged into 220 volt outlet explain with electrical equiation?

If the supply voltage is Vs and the equipment voltage is Va, then the equipment will work if Va = Vs (equation). But if Vs / Va = 220 / 120 (equation) the equipment will fail.

How does the Arctic Oscillation cause snow?

The Arctic Oscillation describes a relationship between pressure fields in the Arctic which governs atmospheric mass distribution around the hemisphere. Central to it is its Polar Vortex, mostly in the stratosphere, that is usually manifested as strong easterly winds around the North Pole. In the negative phase of the AO, the vortex is weakened and this allows a more meridional flow - meaning more cold Arctic air can slide south, invading the lower latitudes. For different (dynamical) reasons, this more high-amplitude pattern is more conducive to the development and amplification of cyclones in Eastern North America and Western Europe. That's why it tends to be colder and snowier in these phases of the AO in these locations. Check out the related link for the standard diagram of the negative vs. positive phases.
