It is expected that the sun will turn into a red giant about three billion years from now, so any problems which may be caused by this are too far in the future for us to worry about. However, the expanding sun will reach and engulf the planet Earth, which will be heated well beyond the point of becoming uninhabitable. So if there are still any people or other intelligent beings living on Earth three billion years from now, they are going to have to move somewhere else. In the event that the human race lasts for another three billion years (and the bookies go not give good odds on this) there would seem to be no problem in developing a very successful space travel technology, given that amount of time for research and development. But who knows, maybe we will put it off until the last minute...
Certainly when the sun turns into a red giant. Prior to that no one can say with certainty.
it would be red , bigger , and and grow until it is a red giant , a red super giant , or a hyper-giant
The Sun is expected to become a red giant in about 5 billion (i.e., 5000 million) years. The Sun is expected to become a red giant in about 5 billion (i.e., 5000 million) years. The Sun is expected to become a red giant in about 5 billion (i.e., 5000 million) years. The Sun is expected to become a red giant in about 5 billion (i.e., 5000 million) years.
yes, in a few billion years as the sun turns to a red giant and expands to the orbit of the earth. however, you wont be around to see it anyway
Our Sun is about 5 billion years old. In another 5 billion years, we expect the Sun to expand into a red giant star as the hydrogen in the core becomes exhausted and the Sun begins to fuse helium. Helium fusion generates more energy than hydrogen fusion, which will cause the Sun to expand.
Red Giant/Supergiant, it will expand and atomise the Earth
When a star turns into a red giant it means the force of the frequency is lighted by the sun. And then when calculating the magnitude it takes time and days for the sun to orbit
What will happen in the future is that the sun will become a red giant and eventually explode.
Not quite. When the sun turns into a red giant, its size will actually become larger than earth's orbit. The earth and the moon will be swallowed up.
The sun will burn off all its fuel and eventually turn into a big giant called the red giant. It will die in about 5 billion years.

The core temperature will increase, GREATLY. The surface temperature probably won't change all that much. And it isn't a case of "if", but of "when"; the Sun WILL turn into a red giant, in about 4 billion years or so.
The sun is estimated to reach a size where it engulfs Mercury and Venus, likely extending out to Earth's orbit. This expansion is expected to happen in around 5 billion years as the sun evolves into a red giant before eventually collapsing into a white dwarf.
A star's life cycle starts from a nebula. For giant stars, the star turns into a huge star to a super red giant to a supernova to a black hole. A sun-like star turns to a red giant, then a planetary nebula, a white dwarf, and then a black dwarf.
The sun will eventually exhaust its hydrogen fuel and will undergo a transformation into a red giant star. This will happen in about 5 billion years. After that, it will shed its outer layers and become a white dwarf.
No. The sun will become a red giant in about 5 billion years.
It won't be in my lifetime, but in a space station, mars, and if it after the Sun turns into a red giant then Europa.
