There are some rare cases of kids/babies being born more or less without a brain.

It depends what part of the brain being missing whether the "organism" can support life or not.

Most of the life-functions are supported by the brain stem, hence the brain as we think of it is not really needed.

If the brain stem has developed mostly normal then you would possibly be able to sustain life if somebody constantly take care of absolutely all your needs.

Your life would be not much at all. Laying in a bed most likely. Not being able to recognise the world around you. Being in a general vegetative state of mind.. Hmm. rather no mind to think about anything.

Most babies born without a brain can not sustain life outside the womb and will simply die as soon as they are born.
