An organism that lost or never had the ability to replicate its DNA could not reproduce itself. This organism (and any like it) would eventually die and leave no descendents behind.
The structure of this question is a bit confusing however, ecosystems never favor survival because extinction is the rule NOT the exception. The ability of the organism to fill an environmental niche and out compete its competition for the resources in the ecosystem favors survival. Subsequent to this success the only long term success is a diverse enough gene pool in the population of the organism to allow it to adapt and continue to compete and reproduce.
NO! never mistake protozoans from fungi, they are a completely different organism and have no relations except that they are both uni cellular organisms
Anything that is not considered to be a living organism. If it was never living (like a rock), then it has no DNA. All living beings have DNA. Viruses however, are not considered living because they do not have DNA.
because you can never ever tell when a thing will happen
DNA does not directly control organism behavior. Behavior is a complex interplay between genetic factors, environmental influences, and individual experiences. While DNA provides the blueprint for an organism's physical characteristics, how this genetic information is expressed and influences behavior is highly variable and influenced by many factors.
Since a virus can only replicate on a living cell, host cell, it wouldn't be able to reproduce.
DNA's ability to "self"-replicate allowed life to continue from the first cell through each organism's every cellular-division (mitosis/meiosis) up until present day life. It can be though of as a torch like at the Olympics (except for real) where the flame never goes out, just allowed to ignite more and more flames. But it's still the original flame, never had to be lit a second time!
No, it does not mean that it will never happen. Impossible means that it will never happen. unlikely to happen does mean that probably it will not happen..
Variables such as temperature, nutrients, and water availability can impact an organism's ability to stay alive by influencing their metabolism, growth, and reproduction. Any extreme changes in these variables can disrupt biological processes and lead to decreased survival rates for the organism. Adaptations and behaviors to regulate these variables help organisms maintain homeostasis and increase their chances of survival.
When there is ABSOLUTOLY NONE left of that organism then it is extict meaning it will NEVER come back!
Cells are living things in and of themselves. There are single celled organism that science defines as alive as you are. You are made up of billions of cells that all have the same DNA (genetic information that is the key to making everything that you are) as each other. Humans, along with all other multicellular organisms, start as one living cell. This is the entirety of what the organism is at this point. As that cell divides and replicates itself the organism begins to take shape and eventually matures into its fully formed state. Cells continue to die and replicate in this stage. If the science behind DNA and how different genes can be turned on and off were better understood it is theoretically possible to grow an identical body from a single human cell. The first cell of any organism is the organism and is alive. If that cell were not alive or the organism itself the organism could never and would never exist.
Adverb. It modifies the verb. If something will "never" happen, it describes when something happen: never.
No, it never has and will never happen
The word, "Impossibility" refers to something that could never happen.
Those that increase your health, your survival, your ability to have children and of course too many other benefits to name, here. Generally mutations are the key to natural selection. Beneficial mutations that occur allow an organism to survive longer, thus reproduce more, passing this mutated trait down to their offspring.
An organism is a parasite only if its only means of surviving depends on the organism in which it resides.
