There would be no protein synthesis.
The membrane receptors are proteins that are synthesized on ribosomes located in the cytoplasm of the cell. Once synthesized, these proteins are then transported to the cell membrane where they become embedded and function as receptors for specific signaling molecules.
the correct amino acids won't be transfered to the ribosomes and the protein synthesis would fail. PLATO says so.
Toucans are eukaryotes, so the same organelles you have would be in their cells. Nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi body, ribosomes ( not membrane bound ) and all the rest of the membrane bound organelles.
Sperm Cells contain enzymes so that they can digest through the cell membrane of an egg cell. I would pressume that they also have ribosomes because enzymes are proteins and ribosomes make proteins. But I am not sure.
If the cell membrane was made of a molecule that did not repel water, the membrane would become permeable to water and other water-soluble molecules. This would disrupt the cell's ability to maintain internal conditions necessary for its normal functioning, potentially causing the cell to swell and burst due to osmotic imbalance.

it would not keep working to do its functions
If ribosomes suddenly stopped working in a cell, protein synthesis would be disrupted, leading to a decrease in the production of essential proteins. This could result in cell dysfunction, impaired growth, and ultimately cell death.
This cannot possibly happen, so asking what would happen if it did happen is an exercise in stupidity.

the synthesis of enzymes would stop
The world would explode
im sorry i would try to help you but im looking for the same answer right now 2! stupid science hw!
it will blow up

There would not be any proteins, so cells couldn't generate other cells.
The lage particles would pass throug the membrane
