1.carbon buildup in carburator 2. vacum leak not a sure thing but they are the most likely causes
all i could think of is the IAC (idle air control valve) which lets your car idle properly when your car is in park. or getting a rich mixture? hope this helps
Vacuum leak. Could also be the idle air control valve. have the alternator checked. sounds like it is not producing enough current to run when at idle. also have battery checked as a bad alternator can trash a battery
Yes, and a sure symptom of a bad TPS is rough idle. You might also consider that a dirty/clogged air filter, or dirty/fouled spark plugs will also cause excess fuel use.
Does it miss on acceleration or at idle? If on accel I would be looking at the plugs and wires
rough idle smell gas
the radiotor or the cams
I had the same problem with my 2005 ford expedition... it was my chamshaft....... The repair is expensive... But it fixed the problem......
The 1995 Ford Aspire would have a rough idle cut off of power at high speeds due to mis firing. There is also a rev limiter to control how fast you can go.
throttle body or idle air control value
The most common cause of a 1996 Ford Escort to idle rough is bad spark plugs or bad spark plug wires. A plugged air filter will also cause it to idle rough.
possible vacume leak in the egr valve or bad valve itself.
A bad IAC (Idle air control valve) or a vacuum leak or both.
I am having the same problem, and poor acceleration!!
jerking speed 40 50
P1000 on any ford means you have cleared the PCM codes and it hasn't run it's self-diagnostic tests yet. This will go away. It is not related to your rough idle.
