Unfortunatly, the planet Mercury is positioned too close to the sun. Because of this, temperatures on Mercury can raise higher than any life can survive at. The only chances of Mercury being able to sustain life is if it were to move away from the sun, causing it to cool down enough for life to florish.

What conditions on mercury would not be favorable for life?

Conditions on Mercury that would not be favorable for life include extreme temperatures, ranging from -290°F (-180°C) to 800°F (427°C), which would make it difficult for life forms to survive. Additionally, the lack of a significant atmosphere and weak gravity on Mercury would make it challenging for organisms to obtain and retain the necessary resources for survival. Finally, the intense solar radiation on Mercury, being the closest planet to the Sun, would be detrimental to most forms of life.

Could life exist on planet mercury?

No. Mercury is to close the the sun for us to live on. Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. No, we'd be fried. But if you are a believer in the unexplained, there might be an extraterrestrial that might be able to handle that sort of heat. Though, most people don't believe in extraterrestrials. If your meaning human life then no. We'd burn up. Now we are only the third planet away from the sun but we are just fine. We are in a perfect state. Living on Mercury would be like living inside a volcano. You might as well be sayin is life possible on Saturn!

Does Mercury have any living thing on it?

The surface temperature of Mercury ranges from over 400 degrees F. in the daytime to -200 F. (that's below zero) at night. In addition to that, Mercury is constantly bombarded with hard radiation because of its close proximity to the sun and its lack of a strong magnetic field to deflect it. It would be hard to imagine a place much less hospitable to life.

Why can't plants and people live on MERCURY?

Mercury's extreme temperatures, ranging from -280°F to 800°F, make it inhospitable for life as we know it. The lack of atmosphere on Mercury also means there is no protection from the intense solar radiation. These factors make it impossible for plants and people to survive on Mercury without extreme technological assistance.

Is there life form on Mercury?

No, we have never seen any evidence of aliens on Mercury.

Yes, The mercury level would drop as the temperature increased.

Would have it be possible to make mercury thermometers if expansion of glass is greater than the expansion of mercury?

Suppose so, but the mercury would fall, instead of rising with temperature increase.

Could life exist on Mercury.?

Life can not exist on Mercury because it is way too close to the sun, which would make it way too hot. This would make humans die of heat stroke.

Is it possible to make silver from Mercury?

It's not possible for anyone who needs to ask the question. On a very small and limited scale nuclear engineers could hypothetically do so; they just need to induce the mercury nuclei to fission in precisely the right way. However, it would be much easier and cost much much less to just go out and buy silver instead. You could even offset the cost of the silver by SELLING the mercury.

How do you balance your life?

I would figure out what is important to me in my life. Then I would prioritize my findings. Next I would allocate some responsibilities to others to make the list and load a bit lighter. Finally, I would find some enjoyment out of every bit of my life and responsibilities as possible. This would also make for a happier life.

Why do scientist study the characteristics that make life on earth possible?

Scientists study the characteristics that make life on earth possible so they can figure out when life will know longer be possible. They also want to know what causes life to not be possible.

Would have it be possible to make thermometer if expansion of glass would have been greater than mercury?

Great question to think about ! Seems to me that if the expansion of glass were greater than the expansion of mercury, then you could easily make thermometers. But when you calibrated them, they would turn out different from what we have now, because the warmer temperatures would be marked lower on the glass, and the cooler temperatures would be marked higher on the glass.
