seafloor spreading
The most destructive tsunami in United States history was in 1964 when a magnitude 9.2 earthquake in Alaska triggered a tsunami along the West Coast. It caused significant damage in Alaska, Oregon, and California, resulting in loss of life and widespread destruction.
The Tsunami in Japan in 2011 was caused by an earthquake gesitering a magnitude 9.0.
One tsunami would be the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
The earthquake in Japan caused more damage overall than the tsunami. The powerful earthquake triggered the tsunami and also led to widespread destruction of buildings, infrastructure, and loss of lives. The tsunami primarily affected coastal areas with devastating flooding and destruction.
The Tsunami (and most Tsunamis) are caused by earthquakes that take place deep under the seabed. The greater the severity of the earthquake, the larger, and more devastating, a Tsunami will be.
All I can say is no where near bernardsville newjersey.
well, tsunami's are caused by earthquakes and most earthquakes occur in the sea.
China!

Most likely not. A whale in deep, open ocean water would probably not even notice a passing tsunami. In shallow water it would be a very stressful event.
That would depend on the size of the tsunami. If one was standing on the headland, which rises above the surrounding landscape, one would most likely survive.
most likely in a place near the ocean like hawaii

There are no years that we can expect a tsunami, they are caused by a multitude of things, though typically arise due to seismic activity, which in itself is very difficult to speculate and any signs that a tsunami may occur would likely be very close to the time that it would occur itself. As a result, tsunamis are difficult to prepare for and for the most part have completely unexpected implications on the affected regions, such as a tsunami moving extremely fast towards a populated city that is unaware of its existence.

Extinction is most likely to be caused by environmental conditions. Dramatic changes to the climate can mean that species are no longer adapted to survive.
Yes. In fact most tsunamis are caused by earthquakes.
