I always look at the Hydrogens - if the number is divisable by 4 it is very easy. So 8 Hs means 4 H2O so you know that means 2 O2 and the carbon is easy as 1 C always goes to 1 CO2. So in this case you need 5 O2.

So C3H8 + 5 O2 = 3 CO2 and 4 H2O

It is not quite as easy with say C4H10 - The 10 Hs mean you need 5 O which means 2.5 O2 (6.5 in total) and so everything has to be doubled up.

2 C4H10 + 13 O2 = 8 CO2 + 10 H2O ALWAYS DO THE HYDROGENS FIRST

What takes away water molecules as molecules are combined?

The intermolecular bonds between water molecules are hydrogen bonds.

Which element is an explosive gas but when combined with oxygen in a certain way makes water?

Hydrogen is the explosive gas that, when combined with oxygen in a process called electrolysis, can produce water. In this reaction, two molecules of hydrogen combine with one molecule of oxygen to form two molecules of water.

What is the equation for the chemical change that produces water from two hydrogen molecules and one oxygen molecule?

The balanced chemical equation for the formation of water from two hydrogen molecules and one oxygen molecule is: 2H₂ + O₂ → 2H₂O.

What does the equation of photosynthesis mean?

The equation for photosynthesis is: 6H2O + 6 CO2 --> C6H12O6 + 6O2 The numerals in each part of the equation (without balancing it) mean: H2 = 2 atoms of Hydrogen O = 1 atom of Oxygen } H2O=water C = 1 atom of Carbon O2 = 2 atoms of Oxygen } CO2= Carbon Dioxide C6 = 6 atoms of Carbon H12 = 12 atoms of Hydrogen O6= 6 atoms of Oxygen } C6H12O6 } Glucose O2 = 2 atoms of Oxygen } O2 = Oxygen When balanced: 6H2O = 6 molecules of water 6CO2 = 6 molecules of Carbon dioxide C6H12O6 = Glucose 6O2 = 6 molecules of Oxygen

What is a balancing equation?

a balance equation when it come to bio is that the input be exactly equal to the output. this will make the organism balanced with the environment it is in like a regulator fish in water. input=output. in chemistry: A balanced equation is used for chemical reactions. When the number of moles of reactants is equal to the number of moles of products, the equation is considered balanced. Search wikipedia for chemical equation for a step by step tutorial on how to balance chemical reaction equations.

When balancing a chemical equation the number of H atoms in 2 CH4 is eight is this True or false?

True. In 2 molecules of CH4, there are a total of 8 hydrogen atoms because each CH4 molecule contains 4 hydrogen atoms.

How many molecules of ammonia can be formed from the reaction of 2 molecules of Nitrogen gas and 6 molecules of hydrogen gas?

By balancing the chemical equation for the formation of ammonia (NH3) from nitrogen gas (N2) and hydrogen gas (H2), we have: N2 + 3H2 → 2NH3 This means that for every 1 molecule of N2 and 3 molecules of H2, we get 2 molecules of NH3. Therefore, from 2 molecules of N2 and 6 molecules of H2, we can form 4 molecules of NH3.

Which equation best represents the dissociation of watermark molecules into hydrogen ions and hydroxide ions?

The dissociation of water molecules into hydrogen ions and hydroxide ions is best represented by the equation: H2O -> H+ + OH-.

When balancing a chemical equation the number of H atoms in 2 CH4 is eight?

To balance the chemical equation 2CH4, we need to consider that each methane molecule (CH4) contains 4 hydrogen (H) atoms. Therefore, 2 CH4 molecules would contain a total of 8 hydrogen atoms (2×4=8), which matches your statement.

What is the chemical equation for hydrogen sulphate?

When hydrogen is combined with sulfate, it creates H2SO4 since sulfate has a -2 charge, which is sulfuric acid

What is the balanced equation for the production of hydrogen chloride from hydrogen and chlorine?

The balanced equation for the production of hydrogen chloride from hydrogen and chlorine is: H2 + Cl2 -> 2HCl. This equation shows that one molecule of hydrogen reacts with one molecule of chlorine to produce two molecules of hydrogen chloride.
