When a switch is described as being in the "off" position, it indicates that the circuit is open, preventing electrical current from flowing. This state is typically associated with a disengaged contact, meaning the device or appliance connected to the switch will not operate. In contrast, the "on" position allows current to flow, completing the circuit. Thus, the terminology directly reflects the switch's function in controlling electrical power.
A person lying in the anatomical position is said to be standing upright, facing forward, with arms at the sides and palms facing forward. This position is used as a reference point for describing the location of body parts.
Oxidation means addition of oxygen. When oxygen is added to a compound, it is said to be oxidised.
It is said to be anaerobic, which means "without oxygen". The opposite of "anaerobic" is "aerobic" which means requiring oxygen.
Rest:a body is said to be at rest,if it does not change its position with repect to its surroundings.e.g;At rest A pumpkin will remain at rest unless an external force acts upon it, there are no external forces, so it doesn't move Motion:a body is said to be at motion ,if it changes its position with respect to its surroundings.e.g;motion of a pendlum, motion of riders in ferris wheel
The individual is said to be homozygous for that trait. This means that both copies of the gene for that trait are identical.
Someone would be said to be contorted when part of their body is twisted into a strained position. It also means when someone twists violently according to the website Wiktionary.
A standard switch opens the circuit when in the off position, so the answer to your question is no. That said there is a way that it can be done by changing the switch to a single pole double throw switch. The "hot" will come into the switch on the common terminal. The old circuit connects to the top switch handle up terminal. The new circuit connects to the terminal in the handle down position. This setup will leave one of the circuits on all of the time. To over come this situation the switches can be installed in a double gang box. A standard on off switch will control the power to the "hot " that comes into the SPDT switch.
Emphatic means that something is done or said in a boisterous way. It also means emphasis was placed on the action or words.
If you are on the waiting list, ACTIVE means you are actively on the waiting list, and your position is the number indicated.

It means that someone is talking to a less educated person and is explaining what they have just said. "To put it in your words" means "I will explain it in words that you understand." "It means 'screwed'" means that whatever they just said can also be said using the term "screwed" (which means the person or object is totally beyond hope).
When a body does not change its position with respect to its surroundings, it is said to be at rest.
Ex ante is a term that means anticipation before an event. When a person is anticipating a future exchange and predicting its outcome, they are in the ex ante position.
A circuit will not work if a switch is open, be because it is not allowing the electricity to flow. Where as if it was closed it would give the electricity a sealed off path to flow through.
If I remember correctly, an ignition "Kill Switch" is a secret switch (or button) that must be pushed into a particular position for the ignition system to start the car.... That being said.... Simple. If it's a button that has to be pressed for the (key) ignition to start the car, duct tape it in place. Same for a "light switch" switch". OR...you could solder a wire to circumvent the switch..... :) Now remember...if the switch uses a thicker wire....you're going to want to use a thicker wire when you solder it :)
An object is said to be in motion when its position is changing over time relative to a reference point. This change in position can be observed through visual cues or measurements of distance traveled.
An object that is not in motion is said to be in a state of rest. This means that the object's position and speed are not changing.
