Lebensborn was a program initiated by the Nazi regime in Germany in 1935, aimed at promoting the growth of the Aryan population through the establishment of maternity homes and the encouragement of racially "pure" births. It continued until the end of World War II in 1945. The program sought to support the breeding of "racially valuable" children, often involving the forced separation of children from their parents and the kidnapping of children from occupied territories deemed to fit the Aryan ideal.

A place where babies were illegitimately born to soldiers and women at the time of World War 2, when Hitler's goal was to make a "perfect" Aryan race.
He started a program called Lebensborn to encourage women to produce Aryan children.
Lebensborn refers to the srping of life program in germany, which began in 1936. Under the control of the SS, special homes were set up to provide for unmarried mothers referred by Nazi party agencies or for women who fell pregnant to SS men outside of marriage. These insitutions were reserved for racially pure German women. the slogan was 'giving a child to the Fuhrer.'
The Lebensborn program was an initiative established by Nazi Germany in the 1930s aimed at increasing the Aryan population through selective breeding. It involved creating homes for unmarried mothers who were deemed racially pure, where they could give birth to children fathered by SS members. The program also included the adoption of these children by SS families to promote the Nazi ideal of a superior Aryan race. Ultimately, it reflected the regime's broader goals of racial purity and expansion.
Under the Nazi regime, Women had NO rights. Women were used to breed boys for the party. If you were Aryan-looking (fair skinned, blue-eyed and blonde), you were "choosen" to be part of Lebensborn.

The Lebensborn Programme was of a piece with the rest of Nazi racial theories and policies. The goal of the programme was to produce more "pure" Aryans for the Fatherland. Suitable young women were recruited, after a thorough genealogical investigation, to participate. They were sent to resort hotels taken over for the project, where they mingled with suitable Aryan males. The males were almost all SS men, who, at least in the early days of the SS, had to provide genealogical data back eight generations to ensure they were of proper "Aryan" stock before they were accepted into the SS. Good SS men were sent to the Lebensborn centers as a reward for their performance in the field. Stern duty, but, someone has to do it! Then nature was encouraged to take its course. After delivering her child for the Fatherland the young women would be sent back home with a pat on the head. The fathers were never told if their efforts were productive. The children born were placed for adoption with "suitable Aryan" families. These Lebensborn children are all at or well past retirement age now, and, if they have discovered the circumstances of their birth, have had to cope with the knowledge that they came into the world as a product of such a bizarre government policy and programme. Most have kept this knowledge to themselves, feeling it is shameful, and to avoid being thought a freak.
