Why can't you blow up a volcano?

The amount of rock in a volcano is huge. It would take an enormous about of force to blast it away. Though, we could theoretically destroy a mountain. with a series of strategically placed blasts as rock blasting is commonly used in mining and road construction. Ultimately, though, there is no reason for us to blow up a volcano. At best it would be an enormous waste of time and money. It would do nothing to stop eruptions as the ultimate source lies deep within the earth. In fact, removing the mountain could potentially depressurize the magma chamber and trigger an eruption.

What is the first stage of a developing volcano called?

The first stage of a developing volcano is called the "pre-eruptive stage." This is when magma begins to accumulate below the surface and pressure builds up within the volcano.

How long does a specific volcano erupt for?

Volcanoes erupt until their lava is gone or until the pressure beneath the volcano is released. There is no way of knowing ahead of time how long that will take. Some volcanoes blow up once and never again, and then there's Kilauea volcano in Hawaii, which has been erupting since 1983.

Where did the first volcano erupte?

There really was no such thing as the first volcano. Earth was once entirely very hot, like a volcano. After Earth's surface cooled down, volcanoes continued to rise up from the very hot mantle and core. Effectively, all of Earth was in a state of continuous volcanic eruption when it formed, so no point can be called "the first volcano".

What source gives a volcano its energy?

The volcano is just a name of shape of the mountain that explodes with lava. The volcano errupts when lava is errupting from depths of the Earth and forcing the surface to blow up and then the lava comes out. When lava is pushing the surface of the Earth it changes it's shape and it goes up. The source is lava. \\~OverLordGoldDragon~//
