fossils
Geologist William Smith is credited with recognizing that different layers of rock contained unique collections of fossils, which became the basis for the principle of fossil succession and the development of biostratigraphy.
The presence of marine fossils in the Alps is due to the process of plate tectonics. The Alps were formed when the African and Eurasian tectonic plates collided, pushing up the oceanic crust that originally contained marine fossils. This collision caused the rocks containing the fossils to be uplifted and exposed above sea level in the Alps.
Fossils are significant reservoirs of carbon because they are formed from the remains of living organisms that once contained carbon in their tissues. Over time, these organisms are compressed and preserved in sedimentary rocks, locking in the carbon content. When fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas are burned for energy, the stored carbon is released into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide, contributing to climate change.
One theory is that comets that struck the Earth billions of years ago contained bacteria that survived and evolved on early Earth. The evidence for this is that some microscopic images of ancient comets have what appear to be fossils of bacteria-like organisms on/in them. This is a controversial idea that is not accepted by all scientists. Some think that the fossils are actually fossils of pockets of gasses or liquid in the comet.

carbon dioxide
Not unless the stone used to pave the parking lot contained fossils.
Quite often, fossils are contained within shale rock.
Animal fossils contain hydroxyapatite from bones.Plants contain carbon.
brick
Fossils are produced by a combination of heat pressure in the earth crust. Prehistoric plants and animals created fossil fuels.
fossils
What is electrical energy produced by burning fossils to produce heat, which turns the generator.
Carbondating is the method often used to date fossils, and that involves both the elements Carbon-12 and Carbon-14.

As fossil fuels are made up of Carbon and Hydrogen. This burns in oxygen (in air) to form Carbon dioxide and Water, so the carbon dioxide is released into the air
