Yes by two satellites. Mariner 10 in 1974/75 which mapped about 45% of the planet, and Messenger in January 2008 which added another 30%. Messenger is due to make two more passes of Mercury before finally orbiting the planet in 2011.

Did anyone explore Mercury?

john William has explored the planet mercury... but no one has been sent out to this planet

What robot explored Mercury close up?

From what I have learned, there has not yet been a robot that explored Mercury from closeup. They see Mercury since it is able to be seen by the naked eye in certain times of the night and day. It can also be seen with a telescope. So in all: There has not yet been a robot to explore Mercury from what I know. I apologize if this is incorrect.

What are 3 robots or satellites and what year that have explored mercury?

There have been two space probes: Mariner 10 and Messenger.

How many satellites or robot explored mercury?

As of now, Mercury has been explored by two spacecraft: NASA's Mariner 10, which conducted three flybys between 1974 and 1975, and the MESSENGER mission, which orbited the planet from 2011 until 2015. Mariner 10 provided the first close-up images of Mercury's surface, while MESSENGER offered extensive data on its geology, atmosphere, and magnetic field. There are currently no operational satellites or robots actively exploring Mercury.

What satellites or robots have explored Mercury?

NASA's MESSENGER spacecraft and the European Space Agency's BepiColombo mission are the main spacecraft that have explored Mercury. MESSENGER orbited Mercury from 2011 to 2015, providing detailed data and images of the planet. BepiColombo, a joint mission between ESA and JAXA, was launched in 2018 and is in the process of studying Mercury's surface and magnetic field.

Were there any NASA missions to mercury?

Mercury has only been explored by space probes, specifically Mariner 10 in 1973, and MESSENGER in 2004. Unrelated to the planet are the Mercury spy satellite program of the 1990s, and the 1959-1963 human spaceflight program Project Mercury.
