There is no Fall solstice. The sun's arrival at the equinoxes marks the beginning
of Spring in one hemisphere and Fall in the other. The sun arrives at the equinoxes
on March 21 and near September 22.
The summer solstice occurs around December 21st, while the winter solstice occurs around June 21st in the southern hemisphere. The vernal equinox occurs around September 22nd, and the autumnal equinox occurs around March 20th in the southern hemisphere.
The four days that separate the seasons are; March 20th or 21st ~ Vernal Equinox, December 22nd or 23rd~ Winter Solstice, September 22nd or 23rd~ Autumnal Equinox, and June 21st or 22nd~ Summer Solstice.

Another name for the Summer Solstice is Midsummer.
That depends on whether you are in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere. If you are in the Northern, then your winter solstice is the summer solstice in the Southern Hemisphere. If you are in the Southern, then your winter solstice is the summer solstice for everyone in the Northern Hemisphere.

The solstice is day of the year with the longest period of light (the summer solstice) or the longest period of night (the winter solstice). The vernal equinox (spring) and autumnal equinox (fall) are the two days in the year in which the periods of light and periods of darkness are exactly the same duration.

The fall season ends and the winter season begins at the winter solstice. In the Northern Hemisphere, December 21; in the Southern Hemisphere, June 21.
Two equinoxes (from the word 'equal') occur each year: one in the Spring, called the vernal equinox from a word for green-ness, and also the autumnal equinox in the Fall. On the day and hour of the equinoxes, days and nights are the same length of time.
A season ends and starts on either an equinox or a solstice (whichever it starts with it will end with the opposite). Fall starts on the Autumn Equinox and ends on the Winter Solstice. However, Equinoxes and Solstices do not stay on the same day every year. The Autumn Equinox starts on either September 22 or September 23 and the Winter Solstice starts on either December 21 or December 22. So Fall starts in Europe on September 22/23 and ends on December 21/22.
The spring Equinox occurs on April 21 st. The fall Equinox is on September 21 st. The summer Solstice occurs on June 21 st and the winter Solstice occurs on December 21 st.
the winter solstice date is Dec. 21stThe winter and summer solstices, as well as the spring and fall equinoxes, are determined by the orbit of the earth around the sun. The dates thay fall upon cannot be changed as simply as the date of a man-made holiday can be changed.
The summer solstice occurs around December 21st, while the winter solstice occurs around June 21st in the southern hemisphere. The vernal equinox occurs around September 22nd, and the autumnal equinox occurs around March 20th in the southern hemisphere.
