Don't know, but a new series on Nat. Geo. called Known Universe started today, 4/1 at 10 p.m.
It is the actor Jonathan Adams. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1201149/
Secular history before the universe began is often described through the lens of cosmology and theoretical physics. According to the Big Bang theory, the universe originated from an extremely hot and dense state approximately 13.8 billion years ago. Prior to this event, concepts such as "time" and "space" as we understand them did not exist, making it challenging to discuss "history" in a conventional sense. Instead, physicists explore conditions and theories about the universe's beginnings, such as quantum fluctuations and the potential existence of a multiverse.
Two answers from me. 1. There is more room for possibilities. 2. The big bang theory and how it all went from one little speck to the universe. The discovery channel actually had a show on this once.
Cosmic background radiation provides important insights into the early universe, including its composition, density, and temperature. The presence of this radiation supports the theory of the Big Bang and helps explain the large-scale structure of the universe and the formation of galaxies. By studying cosmic background radiation, scientists can better understand the history and evolution of the universe.
Different theory prevail but the leading one states that at the initial formation of the Universe it was just 100% hydrogen. A few minutes later, the universe had cooled to about one billion kelvin and nuclear fusion occurred, this lasted only a few minutes but was rapid enough to produce the ~25% Helium we still see today. There was also a little bit of deuterium and lithium but generally, a few minutes after the big bang the Universe was 75% hydrogen and 25% helium.
