Warming Up to the Ice Age was created in 1985-01.
Because the water molecules 'lock' together when the temperature drops - forming solid ice. Warming up the ice-cube releases the 'lock', and the ice turns back to water.
The next ice age will probably occur in 50 years if we don't protect the world from air pollution. But maybe we are wrong i don't think so though because people will see the consequences and will help but don't worry LONG LIVE EARTH!!!!!!!!
We are in an ice age which started about 2.58 million years ago. It hasn't gone away, we are just living in an interglacial, (warm), period within the ice age. It was warmer than now 3 million years ago, it was also warmer 120,000 years ago and 320,000 years ago. Global temperatures go up and down with regularity and there is nothing we can do to change it and, of course, we are due for another glaciation soon.
Antarctica is a continent, and the size of raw land is not affected by global warming. Sea ice, which is permanent in the Arctic and covers 98% of the continent of Antarctica is affected by global warming. Some current predictions state that the Arctic sea ice may disappear in the coming years. (The Arctic Circle is a line of latitude the position of which moves slightly depending on the tilt of the earth. Global warming does not affect its position.)
warming up
Basically our Sun is heating up and it is getting hotter, the north pole is surrounded by ice and ice only. this is melting the ice and it is making the oceans rise, Global Warming has been happening for ages (since the ice age) there is nothing to worry about.
The next Ice age can happen anywhere from 100 000 to 500 years, depending on how we react to global warming. We may never have another ice age. Technically we are in an Ice age because Antarctica and Greenland have a thick Ice sheet. However when they melt the Ice Age which we are currently in will be over. The present ice age started about 2.6 million years ago and we are living in a warm period between glaciations. If you mean "how long until the next glaciation"? That we don't know yet, if the ice nears the poles continues to melt it could be many thousands of years. Since we can't make up our minds exactly what the various causes for periods of glaciation are, we don't know.
Melting of the ice caps Global warming causes the ice caps to melt. As they melt, the moving water corrodes at the remaining ice, speeding up the process.
an Ice age horse will grow up to be as tall as a modern sized pony

Normally it would be gravity, but global warming is speeding the process up a little.
During the Ice Age.

There are no real effects. There is no evidence that global warming is real or, that its happening. The truth is during the civil war we experiences a minor ice age and the earth lost a few degrees, now we are just gaining them back. The earth is not heating up it's simply going back to normal temperature.
After the end of the ice age, which occurred around 11,700 years ago, the Earth began to warm up. This warming climate allowed for the development of agriculture and the rise of permanent settlements, leading to significant changes in human societies such as the shift from a hunter-gatherer lifestyle to one based on farming and domestication of animals.

You can try melting the ice cube by warming it up with your hands or placing it in a bowl of warm water. Another method is to use a hairdryer to melt the ice around the penny, allowing you to remove it easily.
