You can make Sodium Acetate by mixing vinegar and baking soda slowly until it no longer bubbles then boil this down until 1/10th of the solution is left, take it off the heat and blow on it, if you can see it crystalize you got it perfect, if it turns into a yellow lump you went too far(remember to stirwhen boiling) you can also mycrowave it for about 20 minutes at even intervals, once you can make crystals by blowing on it just let it cool. In a little while it will make a translucent gel, scrape this up in a spoon and transfer all of the gell and white crystals to a bowl , that has a few coffee filters in it. smash the gel into little pieces and it wil dry faster. and now you have sodium acetate!

WARNING: doing this might irritate you skin and/or eyes, also it makes a strong vinegar smell throughout your house! i would sugjest doing this outside with an old microwave or a hotplate and pan.

Easier than messing making it, I would suggest buying them online already made on eBay, HotSnapZ, or elsewhere.

What is calcium acrylate?

Calcium acrylate is a chemical compound formed from the polymerization of acrylic acid and calcium ions. It is typically used in various applications, including as a thickening agent in cosmetics and personal care products, as well as in the formulation of adhesives and coatings. Due to its calcium content, it can also play a role in enhancing the bioavailability of calcium in certain formulations. Additionally, calcium acrylate exhibits properties such as water retention and emulsification, making it valuable in diverse industrial applications.

What are example of hydrophobic monomers?

Examples of hydrophobic monomers include alkyl acrylates (e.g. methyl acrylate), alkyl methacrylates (e.g. methyl methacrylate), and styrene. These monomers repel water due to the presence of hydrophobic groups in their structure, such as alkyl chains or aromatic rings.
