In an area called the Pacific Ring of Fire. See link below.
Volcanoes are more likely to happen along the boundaries of tectonic plates, such as the Ring of Fire around the Pacific Ocean, where plates collide or separate, allowing magma to rise to the surface. This is where most of the Earth's volcanoes are located.
They both happen along the lithosphere (tectonic) plates. For Volcanoes- The Ring of Fire, which is where most of the volcanoes in the world happen, is along tectonic plate boundaries. For Earthquakes- Faults (cracks in the Earth's crust) form above the tectonic plates, and when the two plates of the fault slip, it releases energy, and causes an earthquake to happen.
For a variety of reasons, the majority of the earth's most violent earthquakes and volcanoes occur in these areas
Where ever there are hotspots
Explosive volcanoes are most common at subduction zones.

Egypt hasn't volcanoes.

Japan because they are right over where two plates meet!
Hawaii
DAYtime
It has the most active volcanoes, having about 452 active volcanoes. It is a question of having the most volcanoes.
They can happen in both

Here is one answer volcanoes can happen in Texas's, Hawaii.
If we didn't have volcanoes we wouldn't have any new landforms or islands.
