Haunting's were reported from the Wyrick family in Ellerslie, Georgia. Their daughter at the age of three had a strange friend she called 'Mr. Gordy,' but her parents were not that upset over this as many children can have made-up friends. 'Mr. Gordy' soon became their daughter's constant companion. When Heidi was six she awoke with marks on her cheek and a year later her father had marks on various parts of his body. Heidi was still seeing visions of 'Mr. Gordy,' but this time he came with a companion that Heidi said was just a shadow with a hooded face and severed hand. The family must have done some research because Mr. Gordy and his one-handed companion were residents of the area that had long since passed away. Some say how could Heidi have known this and are making a mystery out of it. It is highly probable that stories have circulated through the area of these two men and children are often open to suggestion. Heidi is over 16 now and she still has visions. Her mother and younger sister sometimes see visions as well. The family never moved, but did get in a parapsychologist who simply said it was 'place memories.' The family was not interested in his theory so contacted a woman psychic who detected more than one spirit and one out of the bunch was evil while one was a 'protector.' After a decade of these manifestation the Wyricks involved their church and had an exorcism done. To this day the Wyrick family still see the visions.

It is to be noted that several stories have been done by the media (media frenzy) and no concrete evidence has occurred so it's not written in stone that this is a hoax or not.
