It depends which part you go to. The coast is dry desert. The mountains are ice cold. The Amazon is tropical jungle. For example, Arequipa in the south has 360 days of sunshine every year. Iquitos in the north is always warm and steamy. Winter in Peru is from June to October. The weather is foggy and very wet during this time. In July and August the weather is colder and warmer clothing is worn. Spring is from October to December, with nice temperatures. Summertime in Peru is from December to the end of March. It's hot during the day but more bearable in the evening. The hottest season is in Janaury and February. Autumn extends from April to June and the weather is warm during that season.
