Prokaryotes don't have a well defined nucleus like eukaryotes. They keep their circular chromosome in the cytplasm. It's generally anchored to the inner membrane of the cell. The area where the chromosome is in the prokaryotic cell is often referred to as the nucleoid, since it resembles the eukaryotic nucleus in that the DNA is there (but it's not membrane bound like in eukaryotes).

Pretty much in the cytoplasm. ;)

Where in the cell are nucleic acids found at?

Nucleic acids are located in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells and in the nucleoid region of prokaryotic cells. They can also be found in the mitochondria and chloroplasts, which have their own genetic material.

I said the genetic material are located in the prokaryotic cells

What is the location of Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid?

Deoxyribose Nucleic Acid (DNA) is located in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells and in the nucleoid region of prokaryotic cells. It is organized into structures called chromosomes.

What are true statements of prokaryotic cells?

They are only found in unicellular organisms.

What cell structure contains the genetic material (DNA)?

genetic material is located in the nucleus for eukaryotic cells and in a "naked loop of DNA" in prokaryotic cells

What do prokaryotic cells have instead of a nucleus?

The prokaryotic cells have chromatin material instead of nucleus.

Where are nucleic acids formed?

Nucleic acids are formed in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells and in the cytosol of prokaryotic cells (prokaryotes don't have membrane-bound organelles.)

Do prokaryotic cells have linear DNA in their genetic material?

No, prokaryotic cells do not have linear DNA in their genetic material. They have circular DNA.

What are similiarities between prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells?

not much, a cell membrane and genetic material (in prokaryotic cells the genetic material is free floating)

Prokaryotic what are examples of these types of cells?

Examples of prokaryotic cells include bacteria and archaea. These cells lack a nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles, and their genetic material is located in the cytoplasm in a region called the nucleoid.

The chromosomal hereditary material is packaged in the nucleus in eukaryotic cells but not in prokaryotic cells.
