If the electrical cable is carrying DC, there is not much to worry about unless the current is very high. AC/modulated current in the electrical current will induce currents in the instrument cable but how great the problem will be depends on current and frequency. Normally, a few inches separation would be enough. If there is likely to be a significant probelm it would be normal to used screened cable for one or both.
