The bonobo or pygmy chimpanzee. This species was apparently cut off from the main spp via a river which isolated them and now they are considered a full range species.. with a matriarchal social system. Physical characteristics are close but they often have a part in the middle of their head hair. As much as we know about these primates, there are still a lot of questions. Research takes time and money and sometimes one or the other is not available..
