It is different because, liquid water can (and will) take the form of the container it is in. We can also change the form of liquid water, unlike solid ice. Solid Ice wont take the form of the container it is in and we cant change its form without breaking it.

Is it true that a pool of water and a piece of ice are in different states of matter?

Yes, it is true. Water is liquid state and ice is solid state.

Is liquid ice and water the same?

Yes. Water is liquid ice, and ice is solid steam.

Is this true or false water is more dense in its solid form than it is in its liquid phase?

Technically it's neither true nor false without additional information (we would need to know the temperature and pressure). However, for "ordinary" conditions that you might find on or near the surface of the Earth, ice (solid water) is less dense than water (liquid water).

Water can change from one state to one state to another true or false?

True. Water can change from a solid state (ice) to a liquid state (water), and from a liquid state to a gaseous state (steam) depending on the temperature and pressure conditions.

True or false when ice changes to a liquid it asorbs energy?

true, when ice changes to a liquid it asorbs heat energy .

Do clouds formed when water vapor in the air Conference to form the liquid water or ice crystals true or false?

Yes water drops or ice depending on the temperature. But they do not "Conference" to do this, it is delegates that do that. Thus the answer is both true and false.

Is the source of all clouds and precipitation is water vapor True or False?

True. Clouds and precipitation are formed when water vapor in the atmosphere condenses into liquid water droplets or ice crystals.

Is it true ice floats on water because water expands when it freezes?

It is true that water expands as it freezes, but the reason it floats on water is because the density of solid water (ice) is less than that of liquid water. And the density of ice is lower because of the expansion (same mass/larger volume).

Which is most dense liquid water water vapor or ice?

The most dense form of water is liquid water. Ice is less dense than liquid water, which is why ice cubes float in a glass of water. Water vapor is the least dense form of water, as it is a gas and occupies more space compared to liquid water and ice.

Does the volume of water change from solid to liquid form?

The water in ice has a larger volume that water in its liquid form. That is why Ice floats. Ice is less dense than liquid water.

What controls whether water is a gas solid ice or liquid?

that is not true

What is waters characteristics because of hydrogen bonding?

Liquid water is denser than ice,Ice floats on top of liquid water.
