each multimeter is different and they have a booklet that you can search up its range when measuring and the error% with each size of measurement....

for example if measuring ohms a DMM (digital multimeter) the range is 400 ohms

and the accuracy is 0.1% +5d (d= resolution... the lowest possible value you can get on that "range") then if ur measuring a 100ohm resistor itd be 100*0.001 + 0.05 if resolution is 0.01.

then you can take it one step further by getting a confidence interval as in a + - range from the original value percentage or quantitative value.

What equipment do you use to measure resistance?

A multimeter is typically used to measure resistance. It has a setting specifically for measuring resistance and uses probes to make contact with the component being measured. The resistance is then displayed on the multimeter screen.

When the leads of the meter are touched together a nd the meter is set to measure resistance what should the resistance reading be?

Zero ohms.

How do you measure alternating current voltage and resistance?

You measure current by inserting an amp meter in series with the circuit or using a clamp-on meter to measure current by induction. You measure voltage with a volt meter across the supply. You measure resistance in ohms across the resistance. Luckily all these functions are in the same meter in most cases.

In physics what is the use of meter bridge?

A meter bridge is used to measure an unknown electrical resistance by comparing it with a known resistance. It works on the principle of Wheatstone bridge. By balancing the bridge circuit, the value of the unknown resistance can be calculated accurately.

How do you measure armature resistance practically?

What is avo meter?

avometer comes from " avo " and "meter". 'A' means amperes, to measure electrical currents. 'V' means the voltage, to measure voltage. 'O' means ohms, to measure ohms or resistance. finally the meter or unit of measure. often reffered to as AVO meter multimeter or multitester. AVO meter is a device for measuring voltage, current, both AC and DC and electrical resistance.

Can you use ohm-meter to measure a resistance between the neutral line N and the ground E?

If the meter is sensitive enough and there is a resistance between the neutral and ground then the meter should be able to detect it.
