Actually some people are born with "monkey tails". One of the most striking is the existence of the rare "true human tail" (also variously known as "coccygeal process," "coccygeal projection," "caudal appendage," and "vestigial tail"). More than 100 cases of human tails have been reported in the medical literature. The true human tail is characterized by a complex arrangement of adipose and connective tissue, central bundles of longitudinally arranged striated muscle in the core, blood vessels, nerve fibers, nerve ganglion cells, and specialized pressure sensing nerve organs (Vater-Pacini corpuscles). It is covered by normal skin, replete with hair follicles, sweat glands, and sebaceous glands. True human tails range in length from about one inch to over 5 inches long (on a newborn baby), and they can move and contract. Although human tails usually lack skeletal structures several human tails have also been found with cartilage and up to five, well-developed, articulating vertebrae.Baruchin et al. 1983; Dao and Netsky 1984; Lundberg et al. 1962)
A monkey's tail acts as a counterbalance when they perform tight lateral turns. Some monkeys use their tail as a third arm, hanging from branches by the tail.
A prehensile tail helps a Howler monkey by providing additional support and balance while navigating trees. It also allows them to grasp onto branches or pick fruits easily. Additionally, the tail can be used as an extra limb to aid in climbing or hanging from branches.
The Rh factor got its name from the Rhesus monkey, as they were first used in research to identify the presence of the protein in blood. This monkey's blood was instrumental in the discovery and understanding of the Rh factor in humans.
The opossum is known for hanging by its strong tail, allowing it to keep its hands free for feeding, climbing, or other activities. This prehensile tail is a unique adaptation that provides the opossum with added dexterity and balance.
Jane Goodall received a stuffed monkey named Jubilee as a birthday gift when she was a child. She was around 12 years old at the time.
It got its name from its long tail.
It won't be long now.

I have this Flash Drive of GIR hugging his monkey... GIR's tail is visible and I'm not seeing a tail on the monkey. Considering that if there were a tail on the monkey, it would show because of possible size and position. So I'm gonna say no. No tail. =] invader luver 4 life!
