Lo'ihi Seamount
Loihi is a submarine volcano located off the southeast coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. It is an active volcano that is currently undergoing a process of surface erosion and will eventually emerge from the ocean to become the next Hawaiian island in around 10,000-100,000 years. It is part of the Hawaiian-Emperor seamount chain, which is a long chain of underwater mountains and volcanoes that stretches across the Pacific Ocean.

umm yeah i think is. google the answer if you want.
Um, a volcanic island. Really.
No, the Stromboli volcano is on an island.
They are volcanoes underwater.SeamountsThe Santorini Volcano.
An underwater volcano which currently is under and slighty off shore of the island of Hawai'i (the big island). The lava would breach the surface of the ocean, create land and after a while the 'island' would drift. the process would start again, create an island and it would drift. All of the Hawaiian islands were at one point in time, above that underwater volcano. If you look at a map, you will see that even beyond the main Hawaiian islands there is a looong chain of islands. They once originated above that same volcano and eventually after drifting, sank slightly. All of the Hawaiian islands are slowly sinking as they drift as well. It will take perhaps half a million years but the island known as Hawai'i will one day be much smaller. There will be other islands in place by then though, such as the island currently off the shore of Hawai'i island that is currently being made.

The Big Island, also called Hawai'i
The underwater volcano would eventually emerge from the sea and become an island. For example, each of the islands in the Hawaiian Islands chain were formed from vocanoes, and the Big Island of Hawai'i is STILL erupting. Iceland was created the same way. Many South Pacific islands were originally undersea volcanoes which erupted, formed an island, and the island became ringed with coral reefs.

Shield cones
There was a small volcano and when it erupted, it hardened and created islands.
its an island made by a volcano i think and is shaped like an underwater mountain
The Hawaiian Island are created by hot spots. Hot spots are a peice of the mantle that has been thrust into the crust and contains magna. This creates an underwater volcano. The lava spewing out of the volcano rises to the surface and cools, creating land. This process continues until there is an island. Over time however, the tectonic plate that the island is on will move and the area will no longer be on top of the hot spot and it will slowly wither away. A new island will began to form in it's place.
