Beryllium was discovered in 1798 by French chemist Louis-Nicholas Vauquelin. He isolated it from beryl, a mineral containing beryllium, and named it after the mineral.

The atom was discorvered by john dalton in the early 1800's
rutherford
He discovered that the atom contained smaller particles called electrons.
Plasma is different from BEC by their temperature. If plasmas are super hot and super excited atoms, the atoms in a Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC) are total opposites. They are super-unexcited and super-cold atoms.

BEC stands for a state of matter known as Bose-Einstein condensate, which was discovered by Albert Einstein and Satyendra Bose in the 1920's. It's a state of matter in which the matter is extremely cooled, causing fermions to act as bosons; i.e. not obey the Pauli exclusion principle. BEC can also stand for the Bureau of Employees' Compensation.
The group of rubidium atoms sits in the same place, creating a "super atom."
