Replication of a genome takes place in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells or in the cytoplasm of prokaryotic cells. During the cell cycle, DNA replication occurs in the S phase of interphase before cell division. In eukaryotic cells, the process involves multiple steps and proteins to ensure accurate and complete duplication of the genetic material.
Mendel performed experiments on pea plants, studying traits like seed shape and color. His results showed that traits are inherited independently and in predictable ratios. From this, he formulated his laws of inheritance, including the principles of dominance and segregation.
Gregor Mendel studied heredity and is called the Father of Genetics. He conducted his experiments in the gardens of an Augustinian monastery in Brno, Austria.
On a glass plate chemistry experiments can be performed on very small scale. In medicine and biology the glass plate can be used as support for samples.
Watson and Crick mentioned it slightly in their paper but didn't propose a full method of replication. a number of different people collaborated to work out the full model of replication which is still no totaly finished, (few proteins left to find)

DNA replication is performed by a group of enzymes known as DNA polymerases. These enzymes are responsible for synthesizing new DNA strands by adding nucleotides in a complementary fashion to the existing DNA template. Other proteins are also involved in DNA replication to help unwind the double helix, stabilize the replication fork, and proofread the newly synthesized DNA.
