There have been 8 spacecraft that have flown to Jupiter so far. 1 & 2) Pioneer 10 flew past Jupiter in December 1973 and Pioneer 11 in December 1974. 3 & 4) Voyager 1 flew past in March 1979 and Voyager 2 in April of the same year. 5) Ulysses flew around Jupiter in February 1992 on a trajectory to take it over the poles of the Sun. 6) Galileo was the first craft to enter orbit around Jupiter, arriving in December 1995 and lasting until 2003. 7) Cassini-Huygens flew past Jupiter in December 2000 on its way to Saturn. 8) New Horizons flew past in the Spring of 2007. It has now passed Uranus and will fly past Pluto in July 2015. The Juno spacecraft was launched on August 5, 2011 and is due to enter orbit around Jupiter on July 5, 2016.
