No, chimpanzees, like all organisms, have double-stranded DNA in their cells. Double-stranded DNA consists of two strands of nucleotides that are complementary and form a double helix structure. Single-stranded DNA is rare in organisms and is usually found transiently during processes like replication or transcription.
Do not drown yourself in a pool of self-pity. These days, self-pity is sometimes referred to as a "pity-party".
Self-pity is a common human experience, but it is not a universal truth. While many people may experience self-pity at some point in their lives, not everyone responds to challenges or setbacks with self-pity. Individual beliefs, coping mechanisms, and emotional resilience can influence whether someone tends to engage in self-pity.
Self Pity - D.H. Lawrence
Self pity is simply feeling sorry for yourself over events in your life that are not going well.

There will be an end..... of all this welter of self pity, which is only self-pity reflected on to some obvious surface.
Narcissists are more likely to experience feelings of entitlement, superiority, and lack of empathy rather than self-pity. They may struggle to recognize or admit weaknesses or vulnerabilities in themselves, which can make it challenging for them to experience genuine self-pity.

wallow in self-pity
Self Pity is the most severe and highest form of Pride. In Self Pity you think only of yourself and set your own beliefs up as the most superior judge of what is right or wrong ... fair or unfair. Therefore believing your own words, you elevate your judgements above God's judgements. (You place your own word above Gods Word) When you do this you are not giving God His Glory (Credit Due) God states in the Bible "My Glory will I not give to another"... This places you squarely in the middle of the "Unforgivable Sin", PRIDE. "God hates a haughty spirit". While there is forgiveness for sin... there is no forgiveness for pride. The remedy for pride is to humble yourself before God. The moment you enter pride God withdraws His grace and the darkness you feel in your self pity is that withdrawal of God's Grace.
