Meteors are just bits of dust, dirt or debris in space that enter Earth's atmosphere. They are often from comets. As they enter our atmosphere they burn up and fly through it. They look like stars shooting through the sky, hence the common names shooting stars or falling stars.
Meteors are made up of rocks and ice and dust from space where as shooting stars are falling stars.
The Perseid meteors and all meteors look like a light streaking across the sky, which is why they are sometimes called a "Shooting star" or "Falling star".The Perseid meteors and all meteors look like a light streaking across the sky, which is why they are sometimes called a "Shooting star" or "Falling star".The Perseid meteors and all meteors look like a light streaking across the sky, which is why they are sometimes called a "Shooting star" or "Falling star".The Perseid meteors and all meteors look like a light streaking across the sky, which is why they are sometimes called a "Shooting star" or "Falling star".The Perseid meteors and all meteors look like a light streaking across the sky, which is why they are sometimes called a "Shooting star" or "Falling star".The Perseid meteors and all meteors look like a light streaking across the sky, which is why they are sometimes called a "Shooting star" or "Falling star".The Perseid meteors and all meteors look like a light streaking across the sky, which is why they are sometimes called a "Shooting star" or "Falling star".The Perseid meteors and all meteors look like a light streaking across the sky, which is why they are sometimes called a "Shooting star" or "Falling star".The Perseid meteors and all meteors look like a light streaking across the sky, which is why they are sometimes called a "Shooting star" or "Falling star".The Perseid meteors and all meteors look like a light streaking across the sky, which is why they are sometimes called a "Shooting star" or "Falling star".The Perseid meteors and all meteors look like a light streaking across the sky, which is why they are sometimes called a "Shooting star" or "Falling star".
Shooting stars are not actually stars, but bits of dirt and dust, that burn up in our atmosphere. Lots of things create the dirt. For example, when a comet comes near the sun, they begin to melt and pieces break off the object. They are left floating in space. When Earth passes through these bits of dirt, they get into our atmosphere, where they burn. They are called meteors. So-called shooting stars or falling stars are meteors, debris that hits Earth's atmosphere and burn as they fall towards it. As this happens they leave a brief trail of light giving it the appearance of a star, but stars do not in fact fall to Earth. Meteors can be seen on any night, but at certain times of year we pass through dirtier areas of space and more debris gets into our atmosphere and we see more meteors than usual. These cause what we call meteor showers, like the Perseids in August or the Leonids in November.
Shooting stars are meteors, however some people may believe that a shooting star is like a falling star. However stars are like our sun, remember so they cannot fall. When a star dies it will go supernova (explode). The nearest star to us is Beetle-juice, which will go supernova any day now to the next million years. When it goes supernova it will look like another sun in the sky.
They can appear in the middle of the night. Shooting stars can pass at anytime, they don't happen only at that time. You are actually more likely to see meteors in the pre-dawn hours of the morning, with 6 AM usually being the peak time.
They are called shooting stars as well.
Shooting or falling stars are called, "Meteors". When they hit the ground, they are called "Meteorites".
Yes. Shooting stars, properly called meteors, are heated to thousands of degrees as they enter the atmosphere.
Yes falling stars and shooting stars are meteors and meteorites.
Asteroids are also known as meteors, shooting stars, falling stars, bolides and comets.
Shooting stars are all in our atmosphere, they are meteors.

shooting stars are meteors which are made from rock and other metals like iron
its actually a meteorite or just a small comet
Shooting stars are actually meteors coming into contact with the Earths atmosphere.
