In a metaphorical sense
People are drawn to astral projection due to a number of things. The freedom to do anything outside the laws of physics is a common example of why astral projection is an attractive idea. Imagine being able to see your neighbourhood from above your house in potentially more clarity than in real life! Imagine being able to talk to your friends whilst you fly to Another Country to see what it's like, or even go back in time (you can do that!) to visit what happened long ago.
At the end of the day however, nobody can force you to astral project unless your arch nemesis is a mad spiritual hypnotist who somehow thinks astral projection is a bad thing. The sky is the limit on what you think draws people to astral projection.
In a literal sense
Before this is discussed you must realise that we are not our bodies, these bodies are just vehicles that exist purely to help us navigate through the physical world. Astral projection works slightly differently than manifestation (or the Law of Attraction) but it does use the same theory and technique. What I mean by that is that you are not necessarily being drawn into an out-of-body experience, part of you if not all of you goes home. That's right, even when you sleep your astral body wonders off and does its own thing, that's unless you control it yourself through technique and practise; practise, because we forgot how to do it when we incarnated in this world as a baby.
I hope this helps, I incorporated two answers because I didn't quite know how you meant the question.
Astral projection is an out-of-body experience in which a person's consciousness or spirit leaves their physical body and travels to other realms or dimensions. It is often associated with meditation, lucid dreaming, or altered states of consciousness. Some people believe that astral projection allows them to explore the spiritual or astral realms, while others view it as a form of relaxation and self-exploration.
There isn't a silver cord, that is a myth based on a biblical text in the book of psalms by king solomon which people apply to astral travel. But why would you want to sever the silver vord anyways? Reportedly you would die!
There is currently no know and confirmed way to travel in time.
There are many people who believe that an astral plane exists. This has not been scientifically proven.
Meridians are typically shown as straight lines radiating out from the center point of the polar projection map. They converge at the poles and represent lines of longitude, which help to indicate direction and location on the map. These meridians help users navigate and understand the spatial relationships on the polar projection.
Astral projection is practiced in yoga.
No one and nothing can use astral projection. It is a fantasy, a fiction.
Some witches, although not all of them, may practice astral projection.
An astral projection is an instance of someone attempting to detach their mind from their body, or to have a ghostlike replica of one's body and send it to distant places or alternate realities, such as in people's dreams.
From what I understand, the practice of astral projection originated thousands of years ago, in the mountains of Asia. It has been a meditation practiced throughout history, but has become particularly prominent in recent years. As to whether or not astral projection is truly an out-of-body trip I cannot say. I have had a few experiences that I believe are similar to, if not the same as what many occult people refer to as "astral projection", but I honestly cannot prove whether the projection was all in my mind or not.
Astral projection (or astral travel) is an interpretation of out-of-body experiences (OBEs) achieved either awake or via lucid dreaming, deep meditation, or use of psychotropics. Proponents of astral projection maintain that their consciousness or soul has transferred into an astral body (or "double"), which moves in tandem with the physical body in a parallel world known as the astral plane. Astral projection is often associated with the occult and the New Age movement. Astral projection is considered beneficial, as it allows one to connect more fully with their body and mind. After an out-of-body experience, most people repost feeling more connected to themselves and more grounded.
Astral projection refers to any form of out-of-body experience. Astral projection is similar to a lucid dreaming, which is very possible. A lucid dream is when you have a dream and are conscious of the fact that you are in a false reality. If you have ever felt pain in a dream, you know how powerful your subconscious is, which would make saying astral projection impossible very unreasonable.
