If the modern day scientist are really concerned about a topic of discussion then that is ozone depletion. It is because this ozone depletion is leading not only to one but a no of global problems. Some of the problems include the GLOBAL WARMING, RISE IN SEA LEVEL, MELTING OF GLACIERS and many more which are something man would like to avoid as much as possible. Moreover the ozone depletion means the presence of the UV radiations on the surface causing serious problems like skin cancer, eye cataract, suppression of immune system etc.

Why are scientists concerned about thinning the ozone layer?

Scientists are concerned about thinning the ozone layer because it allows harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation to reach the Earth's surface, which can increase the risk of skin cancer, cataracts, and harm marine ecosystems. Ozone depletion also contributes to global warming and disrupts the Earth's climate system.

What did scientist do to check there results about the ozone layer getting thinner?

Scientists collect the ozone concentration. This gives them an idea to check the thinning.

Why did scientists think that the thinning of the ozone layer might be related to CFC's?

Scientists believed that chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) released into the atmosphere could break down the ozone layer due to their ability to release chlorine atoms when exposed to ultraviolet light. These chlorine atoms can then destroy ozone molecules, leading to thinning of the ozone layer. This theory was supported by observations of higher levels of chlorine in the stratosphere where the ozone layer is located.

What chemical is responsible for the thinning of the protective layer?

The chemical responsible for the thinning of the protective layer of the ozone is chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). These chemicals contain chlorine and fluorine that can react with ozone in the stratosphere, causing it to break down and thin out the ozone layer.

What continent does thinning of the ozone layer affect?

The thinning of ozone layer is most pronounced over the continent of Antarctica. This is because of the low temperatures there which support the thinning of the ozone layer. However this thinning of ozone layer is increasing the danger of the harmful ultraviolet rays entering the surface of earth and affecting human life.

Why are scientists. concerned about the depletion or thinning of the ozone layer?

Scientists are concerned about the ozone depletion. It is because this depletion can cause extinction of human race.

Why are scientists considered about the depletion or thinning of the ozone layer?

Scientists are considered about ozone thinning. it is because it will allow the harmful UV rays to enter the earth.

What are scientists attempting to do about the hole in the ozone layer?

Scientists are concerned about the ozone hole. They are trying to ban the CFC's over the world.

What did scientist do to check there results about the ozone layer getting thinner?

Scientists collect the ozone concentration. This gives them an idea to check the thinning.

Why did scientists think that the thinning of the ozone layer might be related to CFCs?

They think that because of its components. It contains Chlorine which depletes the ozone.

How do you slow down thinning of ozone layer?

Thinning of ozone layer can be minimized. It can be done by curbing the use of CFC's.

How did thinning of ozone layer occur?

Thinning of ozone layer occurs due to UV. UV is fatal for life also.

How can the forest help ozone layer?

The forests reduce glocal warming. If there is no global warming, ozone deplition is reduced.

What is ozone thinning occurring?

The thinning of ozone layer is the depletion of certain amount of molecules of ozone in the ozone layer. This is a harmful phenomenon.

Why are some scientist concerned about the loss of ozone layer?

Some scientists are concerned about ozone loss. It is because it will allows fatal UV rays to pass through.
