It was agreed upon by the International Astronomical Union in 2006 that Pluto no longer fits the criteria of what constitutes a planet. The reason for this is because of all the other objects that have been discovered in the Kuiper belt and the asteroid belt that are even bigger than Pluto and those are not classified as planets.
The 8 major known planets in order from the Sun are:
If you list ALL 13 known planets in order, including dwarf planets, they are:
Dwarf planets also fall under the category of minor planets, of which there are thousands in our solar system. As of 2017, the orbits of 734,274 minor planets were archived at the Minor Planet Center, 496,815 of which had received permanent numbers. The largest minor planet that is not considered to be a dwarf planet is Sedna.

As of 2021, there are 8 recognized planets in our solar system: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Formerly, Pluto was considered the ninth planet, but it was reclassified as a dwarf planet in 2006.
The 8 planets orbit around the Sun, in ellipses.
there are 9 planets
Until now, there has been discovered 8 (mercury,Venus, Earth Mars, Jupiter,Saturn Uranus ,Neptune) planets, they were 9 including Pluto, but then it was removed because it hadn't the outer planets' same properties.
There are 8 planets not including Pluto and 9 including Pluto.

9 8 technically without Pluto but a+ teaches 9 still
Well the number of planets in our solar system is actually a bit different now. Remembering that there used to be 9 planets is perfectly okay, but today we recognize only 8 planets in our solar system. It's all a part of the ever-changing nature of our beautiful universe.
