Because they ruin peoples homes and what they have worked so hard for and kill many people when they hit!

and also well because than can get hundreds of feet high and travel at hundreds of miles an hour and they can cause a ripple effect witch can cause tsunamis to hit the same area several times in a matter of minutes =)

The "ripple effect" is actually a series of waves. A single wave cannot hit anywhere more than once! They only reach their maximum height when they approach the shore and the wave action is impeded by the sea-bed, turning the tsunami from pure wave to a fast-moving heap of water. In deep water a tsunami passes as a fast-moving but harmless, low swell.
