What is the temperature for the flame on the Bunsen burner?

This is a two part question: 1. How hot is a Bunsen burner flame? 2. How to convert degrees Fahrenheit to Kelvin? The air around the Bunsen burner will determine how hot it burns The gas used in the Bunsen burner with determine how hot it burns The purity of the gas used in the Bunsen burner will determine how hot it burns The location that the gas was manufactured will determine how hot it burns etc etc etc Lets use LPG gas like the stuff you use in Barbeque Grills. Its about 90% propane, and the rest mostly butane and propylene and other stuff too. Again this varies widely depending on where it was made. It burns at around 1925 degrees so lets use 2000 degrees for a nice round number. Your teacher cant argue with this because of the reasons I listed above. Formula: [K] = ([°F] + 459.67) × 5⁄9 So: K = (2000 + 459.67) x 5 / 9 K = 2459.67 x 5 / 9 k = 1366 Since we rounded up with the 2000 lets round down with the Kelvin Gas burns at around 1300 Kelvin 1925 F = 1051.67 C = 1324.82 K

When magnesium ribbon is brought near the Bunsen flame its catches fire and the colour of the flame produced would be?

Why cant you heat something close to the barrel of a Bunsen burner?

Heating something close to the barrel of a Bunsen burner can lead to uneven heating due to the narrow and focused flame, causing the object to be heated non-uniformly or even burn. It's recommended to use the hottest part of the flame, the tip of the inner blue cone, for optimal and even heating.

Can coloured pieces of paper absorb light?

Yes, colored pieces of paper absorb light because they contain pigments that selectively reflect certain wavelengths of light while absorbing others. The pigments in the paper absorb some colors of light, which gives the paper its particular color appearance.

How do i control the height of the burner flame?

You can make the flame hotter by first, lowering the flame from the starting point by slowly closing the gas valve until the flame is at a medium height. Then, you should increase the oxygen intake by slowly opening the oxygen valve until you have a completely non-luminous flame (an all-blue flame), which is hotter than an orange or yellow flame.

Why cant you place flamable substances near a lighted burner?

Why cant you see an image in a piece of paper?

An image cannot be seen on a plain piece of paper because paper lacks the capacity to emit light or store visual information like a screen or photograph. Paper simply reflects ambient light, so without any ink or pigments applied to it in a specific pattern, it appears blank.

What stores sell burner bibs?

If your eyelids are pink why do we see black when you close your eyes?

If it is dark, no light can penitrate through the skin. If it is light, the light penitrates though the skin and you see pink. Same idea as if you take a piece of paper; if you put a dim light to it, you cant see any light on the other side. But if you take a bright light and shine it on the paper, you can. If this is good enough, PLEASE GIVE ME A TRUST POINT!!!!!
