No one knows exactly why the universe was not made single after the Big Bang. The Big Bang is actually only a single theory on the creation of the universe and is not considered to be scientific fact.

Comments: 1) Maybe it's just me, but I don't really understand this question.
2) The Big Bang Theory is, at present, accepted as "scientific fact".
Of course, like all scientific theories, it could be proved wrong in the future.
