is has been said that a huge asteroid/ meteorite hit the earth, and wiped out everything. evidence to prove that is a very rare metal called iridium and its mostly found in asteroids. side effects from this explosions would be the dust throw into the sky blocking the sun and creating darkness, causing climate changes. after a few minutes acid rain began to fall , getting hotter and hotter as it fell destroying anything in its path including the animals.

volcano theory:

other scientists say that a volcano erupted and killed the dinosaurs. they found basalt and ancient lava beds under the oceans. its said that when the volcano erupted it let out so much gas dust and ash into the air that it blocked the sunlight from the atmosphere causeing photosynthesis to stop, killing away all plant life, which was food to many dinosaurs.
