The cell's cytoplasm is a non-membraned bound organelle. It covers a large area and all the cell's membrane bound organelles are suspended in it. Glycolysis does not require oxygen or any membrane bound cellular organelle for it to run to completion. It requires enzymes and ATP; so where ever glucose is in the cytoplasm the process can begin.

What takes place in the cytosol of a eukaryotic cell?

Glycolysis, the breakdown of glucose into two molecules of pyruvic acid, takes place in the cytosol, outside the mitochondria

Is glycolysis a series of six chemical steps all of which take place in the mitochondria?

Glycolysis is the first stage in cellular respiration. Glycolysis takes place in the cytoplasm of a cell. The second stage, which is the Krebs cycle, takes place in the mitochondria of a cell.

Where in the cell does the glycololysis part of cellular respiration occur?

Glycolysis takes place in the cytoplasm.

Glycolosis takes place in what?

Glycolysis takes place in the cytoplasm of the cell. It is the process of breaking down glucose into pyruvate to generate ATP for energy production. Glycolysis is the first step in cellular respiration.

Whereabouts in the cell are the enzymes found that catalyze the reactions of glycolysis?

The enzymes that catalyze the reactions of glycolysis are found in the cytoplasm of the cell. This is where glycolysis takes place, as it is the first step in cellular respiration and does not require a membrane-bound organelle like the mitochondria.

Glycolysis takes place where?

Glycolysis takes place in the cytoplasm of the cell. It is a metabolic pathway that breaks down glucose into pyruvate, producing ATP and NADH in the process.

Where does aerobic glycolysis occur?

Anaerobic respiration takes place in the Cytoplasma.

What part of the cell that is the site of glycolysis?

It takes place in cytoplasm. It is common to both aerobic and anerobic respiration

Which organelle does glycolysis take place?

Glycolysis takes place in the cytoplasm of the cell, not within an organelle. It is the first step in cellular respiration and does not require the involvement of any specific organelles.
