Tropical rainforests
Some plants that thrive in a semiarid climate include cactus, succulents, sagebrush, mesquite trees, and yucca plants. These plants have adapted to survive in hot and dry conditions by storing water in their leaves or stems.
The climate of a region determines the types of plants and animals that can thrive there. For example, hot and dry climates may favor plants with adaptations to conserve water, like cacti. Similarly, animals in cold climates may have thick fur or blubber to stay warm. Extreme climate events, such as droughts or heatwaves, can also impact local ecosystems by affecting food availability and habitat suitability.
Hyenas live in a variety of climate regions, ranging from savannas and grasslands to woodlands and semi-deserts. They are most commonly found in sub-Saharan Africa but can also be found in parts of the Middle East and southern Asia. Hyenas are highly adaptable and can thrive in diverse environments.
Whether a plant seed sprouts best in a hot climate or a cold climate depends on the plant species. For many, however, the hot climate is usually the better of the two.
