Because any one measurement of a gas depends on the other two.

-- If you keep the pressure of a gas constant and change its temperature, the volume changes.

-- If you keep the pressure of a gas constant and change its volume, the temperature changes.

-- If you keep the temperature of a gas constant and change its pressure, the volume changes.

-- If you keep the temperature of a gas constant and change its volume, the pressure changes.

-- If you keep the volume of a gas constant and change its temperature, the pressure changes.

-- If you keep the volume of a gas constant and change its pressure, the temperature changes.

I'm a layman.. but i understand that the volume of gas is inversely proportional to Pressure and Temperature.. So in order to get the conditions on a same scale they measure these parameters....

its bcoz the volume of gas depend on the temperature and pressure of the environment at that time.

Why when scientists record a gas volume they also record its temperature?

temperature determinds how much pressure is being taken into my balls

Why do scientists record the temperature and pressure of a gas?

Because if those change the volume changes.

What are the four variables in the ideal gas law?

Pressure, volume, temperature & the amount of gas.

How does temperature effect a volume air?

Temperature is not directly tied to volume, its related to pressure. Increasing the temperature will increase the pressure--only if volume is held constant. That is were volume and temperature are related, through pressure. However, if you increase the volume it does not change the temperature.

When the pressure of a gas increases at constant temperature its volume?

Temperature increases as pressure increases.

What are the effects of temperature and volume of gas samples at constant pressure?

If the volume is constant, the density does not change with temperature. With increasing temperature there is still the same number of molecules confined to the same volume of space, so no difference in density.

What are factors that affect gas pressure?

There are two factors that affect gas pressure. These factors are temperature and volume. Higher volume means lower pressure. Higher temperature means higher pressure.

If the temperature of a gas is decreased at a constant pressure what happens to its volume?

When the temperature of a gas is increased at a constant pressure, its volume increases. When the temperature of a gas is devreased at constnt pressure, its volume decreases.

What determines the temperature at which a refrigerant vaporizes?

pressure / temperature / volume /enthalpy

When scientists record the volume of a gas why do they also record the temperture and the pressure?

because a scientist needs all his information before making him example or experiment complete and without temp or pressure u never know what could happen
