because they were created like that
They are 8 major planets and 5 known dwarf planets. All are approximately spherical, and a better approximation is to consider them as oblate spheroids.
the main objects in the solar system are the 8 planets and the sun and asteroid's are alike because they both are in the solar system and they are different because the sun is the fartest object in the solar system and the 8 planets are large natural objects that orbit the sun.:):)
The arrangement of the eight planets in our solar system is based on their distance from the Sun and their composition. The four inner planets—Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars—are terrestrial, composed mainly of rock and metal. In contrast, the outer planets—Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune—are gas giants and ice giants, primarily made up of hydrogen, helium, and other volatile compounds. This arrangement reflects both their formation processes and their physical characteristics.
The 8 planets orbit around the Sun, in ellipses.
Our solar system consists of 8 planets and the sun, plus 5 dwarf planets and thousands of minor planets.

Well there is PLENTY! and 22 shapes!
it is a dwarf planet
We don't know there are only 8 planets in our solar system & these are all round. But there are billions of planets in just our Milky Way is it possible that some we find won't be round. One of the moons of Mars is potato shaped.
It is possible for to shapes to have the same area but different perimeters because, for example, one shape could be a 2 by 4 rectangle and another shape be a 1 by 8 rectangle. Both shapes have an area of 8 (2*4=8 and 1*8=8) but the 2 by 4 has a perimeter of 12 (2+2+4+4=12) but the 1 by 8 rectangle has an area of 18 (1+1+8+8=18).
8. Funny how you phrase it "your solar system"
the moon can have up to 8 different shapes so there are different kinds of shapes and you rarely see a full moon
Do you mean dwarf planets or the Kuiper Belt?, because only 2 or 3 of like 8 or 9 dwarf planets are beyond Neptune.

2 solid shapes together have 8 faces, 12 edges 8 vertices
